Terms & Conditions

The terms governing access to and use of RemoteViewer.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your access to and use of RemoteViewer, including the RemoteViewer website, customer portal, technician applications, client applications, browser-based services, mobile applications and related remote-support services.

By creating a RemoteViewer account, starting a trial, purchasing a subscription, downloading or installing RemoteViewer software, or otherwise using the RemoteViewer service, you agree to these terms.

If you use RemoteViewer on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. The RemoteViewer service

RemoteViewer provides software and services that allow authorised technicians to remotely support compatible computers, mobile devices and managed systems.

Depending on the operating system, RemoteViewer functionality may include remote screen viewing, keyboard and mouse control, touch control, attended support, unattended access, file operations, remote commands, session chat, lock and reboot functions and other remote administration capabilities.

Features differ between operating systems, applications, account types and RemoteViewer plans. A feature available on one platform may not be available on another.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your RemoteViewer account, passwords, authentication methods, recovery information and any devices from which your account is accessed.

You must not knowingly allow an unauthorised person to use your account or technician credentials.

You must tell us promptly if you believe your account, authentication credentials or technician access has been compromised.

4. Authorised remote access

RemoteViewer must only be used to access devices, systems, accounts and information that you are authorised to access.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent, permission or other authority required before beginning a remote session or configuring a device for unattended access.

If you use RemoteViewer to support employees, customers or third parties, you are responsible for ensuring that your technicians are appropriately authorised to access those users’ devices and information.

Unattended access must only be enabled on systems for which your organisation has permission to establish ongoing remote access.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use RemoteViewer:

  • To access a computer or device without appropriate authority.
  • To monitor another person unlawfully or without required consent.
  • To obtain passwords, credentials, financial information or personal information through deception.
  • To install malware, ransomware, spyware or other malicious software.
  • To damage, delete, encrypt or disrupt data without authorisation.
  • To interfere with networks, systems or services without permission.
  • To circumvent security controls or access restrictions unlawfully.
  • To impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority.
  • To engage in fraud or other unlawful activity.
  • To use RemoteViewer in a manner that could materially harm the service or other RemoteViewer customers.
  • To attempt to bypass RemoteViewer plan, trial, security or concurrent-session restrictions.

6. Technician responsibility

RemoteViewer provides technical tools that may allow a technician to control a remote computer, transfer or delete files, run commands, reboot systems and perform other administrative actions.

You are responsible for the actions performed by your technicians through your RemoteViewer account.

You should ensure that technicians understand the consequences of remote administrative actions and take appropriate precautions before performing operations that could affect data, applications or system availability.

7. Supported systems

RemoteViewer is intended for supported versions and configurations of Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.

Remote access may depend on the operating system, desktop environment, network configuration, permissions, security software, device manufacturer and other technical factors outside RemoteViewer’s control.

We may change supported operating systems, versions or technical requirements as RemoteViewer develops.

8. Software and updates

Subject to these terms, RemoteViewer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and use the RemoteViewer software for your authorised use of the service.

RemoteViewer applications may be updated from time to time to provide new functionality, improve compatibility, correct defects or address security issues.

Some updates may be required in order to continue using the service safely or to maintain compatibility with RemoteViewer infrastructure.

9. Free trials

Where offered, an eligible customer may use RemoteViewer under a 7-day free trial.

A trial is intended to allow genuine evaluation of RemoteViewer before purchasing or selecting an ongoing plan.

We may use account, installation and other technical identifiers to determine trial eligibility and prevent repeated or abusive trial registrations.

We may refuse, limit or terminate trial access where we reasonably believe the trial is being abused or used to circumvent subscription requirements.

10. Plans and unlimited devices

RemoteViewer plans include unlimited supported devices unless a particular offer or plan expressly states otherwise.

Plan capacity is primarily determined by the number of remote sessions that may operate concurrently.

Unlimited devices does not mean unlimited simultaneous connections. Your maximum concurrent-session capacity is determined by your current RemoteViewer plan.

11. Free plan

RemoteViewer may offer a Free plan with one concurrent session and a maximum session duration of 30 minutes.

Mobile and tablet technician access is not included in the current Free plan. Free-plan functionality may be subject to additional limits displayed on the RemoteViewer pricing page.

12. Paid subscriptions

Paid RemoteViewer plans provide the concurrent-session capacity and features shown for the selected plan at the time of purchase.

Subscription charges, billing periods and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase or otherwise agreed with you.

Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider made available by RemoteViewer.

You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method for any subscription requiring recurring payment.

13. Renewal, cancellation and plan changes

Where a subscription is sold on a recurring basis, it will continue for the applicable billing period until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation options made available through RemoteViewer or our billing provider.

Cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally remove access already paid for during the current subscription period unless the service states otherwise.

If you upgrade or downgrade your plan, the timing of the change and any associated billing adjustment will be shown or communicated as part of the plan-change process.

Nothing in these terms removes any cancellation, refund or other statutory right that applies to you under mandatory consumer law.

14. Prices

Current RemoteViewer prices are displayed on the pricing page or provided through an agreed quotation.

We may change prices for future purchases or renewal periods. Where required, customers affected by a change to an existing recurring subscription will be given appropriate notice.

Unless stated otherwise, applicable taxes may be added where required.

15. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable RemoteViewer service, but continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

RemoteViewer may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, software updates, infrastructure failures, network disruption, third-party service failures, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may carry out planned or emergency maintenance where reasonably required to operate, protect or improve the service.

16. Backups and customer data

RemoteViewer is a remote-support service and should not be treated as a substitute for an appropriate backup or disaster-recovery system.

You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important information before technicians perform actions that could alter, replace or delete data.

17. Security

RemoteViewer includes technical controls intended to protect technician accounts, managed devices and remote-access workflows.

No computer system or network can be guaranteed to be completely free of defects, vulnerabilities or security incidents.

You are responsible for operating RemoteViewer in accordance with appropriate security practices, including protecting technician accounts and promptly installing important software or security updates.

18. Suspension of access

We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account, technician session or device connection where reasonably necessary to protect RemoteViewer, its customers, a supported device or another person.

This may include situations involving suspected account compromise, unauthorised access, fraud, malicious activity, serious breach of these terms, repeated attempts to bypass service restrictions or an immediate security risk.

Where reasonably practicable, we will seek to restore access once the issue requiring suspension has been resolved.

19. Termination

You may stop using RemoteViewer and cancel an eligible subscription using the cancellation method made available for your account.

We may terminate or restrict access where you materially breach these terms and, where the breach can reasonably be corrected, fail to correct it after being given a reasonable opportunity to do so.

We may act immediately where continued access creates a serious security, legal or operational risk or where RemoteViewer is being deliberately used for unlawful or malicious activity.

20. Intellectual property

RemoteViewer and its associated software, website, interfaces, branding, documentation and related materials are protected by intellectual-property rights.

Except for the limited right to use RemoteViewer in accordance with these terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

You must not copy, reproduce, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit RemoteViewer except where expressly permitted by us or by law.

21. Third-party services

RemoteViewer may rely on or integrate with third-party services including payment processors, identity providers, operating-system services, application stores and hosting infrastructure.

We are not responsible for changes, outages or failures in third-party products or services that are outside our reasonable control.

22. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to that principle, RemoteViewer is not responsible for loss caused by unauthorised use of your account resulting from your failure to protect authentication credentials, actions deliberately performed by your technicians, unsupported system configurations or matters outside our reasonable control.

If you use RemoteViewer for business purposes, we will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or loss of goodwill except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this section affects statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

23. Consumer customers

RemoteViewer is primarily designed as a professional remote-support product, but if you purchase RemoteViewer as a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection law may give you additional rights.

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or reduce any statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights relating to digital content, services, unfair contract terms, cancellation or remedies.

24. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the RemoteViewer Privacy Policy. You should read that policy alongside these Terms & Conditions.

25. Changes to RemoteViewer

We may update, improve, replace or discontinue parts of RemoteViewer as the service develops.

Where a material change significantly affects an existing paid service, we will provide information about that change where reasonably appropriate or legally required.

26. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to RemoteViewer, our business, applicable law, security requirements or the way the service operates.

The latest version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated. Where required, material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated separately.

27. Transfer of rights

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person without our written agreement.

We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a restructuring, merger, acquisition, sale or transfer of the RemoteViewer business, provided that doing so does not unlawfully reduce your rights.

28. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

29. No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, that does not mean we have permanently waived our right to enforce it.

30. Governing law

These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory law gives you the right to rely on the law of another jurisdiction.

If you use RemoteViewer for business purposes, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
