General questions.
|
What is RemoteViewer?
RemoteViewer is a remote support and endpoint-management platform for technicians who need to view, control, administer and maintain supported customer, employee and managed devices. |
Who is RemoteViewer designed for?
RemoteViewer is designed for MSPs, IT support companies, internal IT teams and other organisations that provide professional remote technical support or maintain managed devices. |
|
Does RemoteViewer support attended access?
Yes. RemoteViewer supports attended remote support for situations where the customer or employee is present during the technician session. |
Does RemoteViewer support unattended access?
Yes. Supported managed systems can be configured for authorised unattended access so technicians can connect when no user is physically present. |
Pricing questions.
|
How is RemoteViewer priced?
RemoteViewer plans are based on the number of concurrent remote sessions your team needs rather than the number of supported devices you manage. |
Are devices really unlimited?
Yes. Every RemoteViewer plan includes unlimited devices. Your plan level is determined by simultaneous session capacity and plan features rather than endpoint count. |
|
What is a concurrent session?
A concurrent session is an active remote support connection. For example, a plan with five concurrent sessions can run up to five remote sessions at the same time. |
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes one concurrent remote session with a 30-minute session limit. Mobile and tablet technician access is not included on the Free plan. |
|
Do paid plans have a session time limit?
Solo and above include unlimited session length. The 30-minute session limit applies to the Free plan. |
Can I upgrade when my team grows?
Yes. Move to a higher RemoteViewer plan when your team needs additional simultaneous remote session capacity. |
Patch Management questions.
|
Does RemoteViewer include Patch Management?
Yes. RemoteViewer includes Patch Management for supported managed devices so technicians can manage endpoint updates alongside remote support and administration. |
What can I do with RemoteViewer Patch Management?
RemoteViewer can be used to create patch policies, configure update behaviour, review supported patch information and manage update deployment across compatible managed devices. |
|
Can I create different patch policies for different devices?
Yes. Different patch policies can be created and assigned to appropriate managed devices, allowing different groups such as workstations and servers to use different update settings. |
Can I control how often devices scan for updates?
Yes. Patch policies can be configured with scan intervals so supported managed devices check for updates according to the policy applied to them. |
|
Can RemoteViewer automatically install patches?
Patch policies can control supported automatic installation behaviour so compatible updates can be handled according to the policy assigned to the device. |
Can patches require approval before installation?
Yes. Patch policies can use approval-based update behaviour where supported, giving administrators control over how updates move from detection to installation. |
|
Can I configure an approval delay?
Yes. Patch policy settings can include an approval delay so supported updates can be held for a configured period before progressing through the patching workflow. |
Can I remote into a device if a patch causes a problem?
Yes. Where the device and operating system support it, technicians can use RemoteViewer’s remote access and administration tools to investigate a managed device that needs further attention. |

Does RemoteViewer include chat?

Security questions.
|
Does anyone on the internet have access to my devices?
